was also declared to be a wildlife refuge.

Palo Verde National Park, a gem that lies in the Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica.

It  hosts over 45,000 acres of tropical dry forests, the main concern is on conserving vital floodplain, limestone ridges, marshes and seasonal pools from civilization that puts the ecology of the area at risk.

This sanctuary becomes home to much more wildlife and birds during the dry season, wich typically begins in November and will run into late March early April.

Upon the arrival of the rainy season, the forest will again begin to flourish, sending the water to the river’s basin. Is famous for its diversity of bird species, from scarlet macaws, white ibis, wood storks and roseate spoonbills to name a few.
